Photos are processed on your device
Snipjoy uses system imaging capabilities to extract subjects and create stickers. It does not send original photos to our servers for processing. Some system models may require an initial download; downloading a model is different from uploading a photo.
Maps are a separate service
Available photo timestamps and GPS data support the local map and calendar. The camera requests location only while open and with permission. You can make stickers without location data.
Map backgrounds use Apple Maps. Snipjoy does not send photos or stickers to the map service, but viewing maps requires the network requests used by that system service.
Sharing starts with you
Copying, exporting, and sharing hand your finished sticker to the selected system feature or receiving app. Exported PNGs do not intentionally include GPS. The receiving service follows its own data practices.
The system sticker extension reads finished stickers from a local shared area, not original photos, masks, or locations. Deleting a local sticker does not recall copies you have already sent.
Take care of your local collection
Snipjoy does not provide its own cloud account or recovery service. Export important work before deleting the app, erasing a device, or moving devices. System backups depend on device settings.
Grant photo, camera, and location permissions as needed. You can change them in system settings. Denying optional location access does not prevent sticker creation.
